Story-first horror like Asleep: Act 1 only has room for a handful of sensible cheats, and a couple of popular ones are best avoided.
Developer: Black Hole Games
Publisher: CriticalLeap
Price: $9.99 (listed free on Steam on October 31, 2026 through a limited promotional package)
Game About: A psychological horror story rooted in the 1990s Brazilian Northeast, seen through the eyes of Ana Lúcia, a girl lost in her own nightmares. Light keeps her going, and lingering in the dark is a danger in itself.

Which cheats fit, and which to skip
- Sanity lock: the one cheat that lines up directly with the game's central mechanic.
- Unlock-everything cheats: a poor fit here. Collectibles open up secret memories, so forcing them hands you story beats you could have found yourself.
- Achievements: Steam tracks 25 of them for Act 1, so decide before the first edit whether you want them on a clean run.
- Save backups: duplicate your save folder before changing a single value. Losing a run's choices to one bad edit is a miserable reason to replay an act.
- Scams: skip any "unlocker" that claims to open up Act 2 or hands out cracked copies of the game. Act 2 is DLC, and tools like that are piracy at best and malware at worst.
